Good Neighbor Day
Saturday, May. 11, 2019 (8:00 am - 1:00 pm)
Join your Penfield community on Saturday, May 11 to help your neighbors do some spring cleaning! We are looking for volunteers for the Annual Terry Rothfuss Memorial Good Neighbor Day to help seniors, veterans, or those who are disabled to do light yard work and spring clean-up. We need volunteers of all ages, so bring the whole family! Volunteers will meet at the Rothfuss Farm at 8:00 am for refreshments and to receive assignments. Volunteers should plan to work until noon at the latest. Also, are you someone who could use the extra hand, or do you know someone who could? Let us know! We will bring scrap to the Penfield Drop-off, rake out flower beds, plant flowers, fix lawn damage from plows, and much more! To sign up to help or be helped, please call Sabrina at 340-8651, or email srenner@penfield.org. Terry Rothfuss was a farmer in east Penfield who was a friend to all. He was always ready and willing to help anyone at anytime. When he passed away in 2014 there was a huge hole left in the community. His friends and family wanted to carry on Terry's legacy of friendship by continuing to help their community and inspire others to do the same.
